Insgesamt 20 Filme kämpfen nach Nachnominierung von Jim Jarmusch um die Goldene Palme.
Mit der Nachnominierung des Vampirdramas "Only Lovers Left Alive" des US-Regisseurs Jim Jarmusch ist die Zahl der Wettbewerbsfilme beim heurigen Festival von Cannes auf 20 gestiegen. Das Werk mit Tom Hiddleston, Tilda Swinton und John Hurt geht nun mit 19 weiteren ins Rennen um die Goldene Palme für den besten Film. Im Folgenden die Produktionen, die heuer von 15. bis 26. Mai beim 66. Internationalen Filmfestivals in Cannes im Wettbewerb laufen, sowie der Eröffnungs- und der Abschlussfilm:
- Eröffnungsfilm (außer Konkurrenz): "The great Gatsby"; Baz Luhrmann (Australien)
- Abschlussfilm (außer Konkurrenz): "Zulu"; Jerome Salle (Frankreich)
