Although he made his name with such classic films as Il Sorpasso (The Easy Life) and Poveri e Belli (A Girl in Bikini), Risi's most successful film internationally was Profumo di Donna, for which he was nominated for an Oscar and which was remade in English as Scent of a Woman with Al Pacino taking on the lead role originally played by the late Vittorio Gassman. Der italienische Pianist und Filmkomponist Armando Trovajoli, der mehr als 300 Soundtracks schrieb, ist tot. Der Römer starb schon vor einigen Tagen im Alter von 95 Jahren in seiner Heimatstadt, teilte seine Witwe Maria Paola am Samstag mit. Der fleißige Künstler mit dem Hang zur Jazz-Instrumentierung arbeitete oft mit Regisseuren wie Vittorio De Sica, Dino Risi und Ettore Scola zusammen. Trovajoli wirkte auch als musikalischer Leiter und schrieb die Musik zu einer Reihe von Musicals und musikalischen Komödien.
