Überwucherte Ruine La Mothe-Chandeniers in Westfrankreich soll mit Hilfe von Geldgebern abgesichert werden.

Ein verfallenes Wasserschloss im Westen Frankreichs hat künftig rund 6.500 Besitzer. Organisationen und die Internet-Finanzierungsplattform Dartagnans.fr haben gemeinsam die für das wild-romantische Gemäuer benötigten 500.000 Euro zusammenbekommen.
Jeder Geldgeber mit einem Mindesteinsatz von 51 Euro sei Anteilseigner einer Aktiengesellschaft, die das überwucherte Schloss La Mothe-Chandeniers südöstlich der Loire-Stadt Saumur übernehme, hieß es unter Berufung auf Dartagnans-Mitgründer Romain Delaume. Das Anwesen im Departement Vienne solle im Jänner übergeben werden. Ziel sei es, auf Dauer eine Million Euro zu sammeln, um architektonische Gutachten zu bezahlen und die Ruine abzusichern.
Das aktuelle Gebäude stammt laut Bericht aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Ein solches Schloss sei aber schon seit dem 13. Jahrhundert erwähnt.
