Ein paar Comeback-Versuche hatte Galliano nach seiner Äußerung antisemitischer Parolen in einem Pariser Café und seiner Kündigung bei Dior im Jahr 2011 bereits unternommen. Von dem russischen Parfum- und Kosmetikunternehmen 'L'Etoile' wurde ihm im vergangenen Mai eine neue Position angeboten.
