6.000 Euro muss Mainz-Trainer Thomas Tuchel für das Betreten des Spielfeldes und eine verbale Entgleisung während des Achtelfinales im deutschen Fußballcup am 18. Dezember bei Schalke 04 zahlen. Das Sportgericht des Deutschen Fußball-Bundes (DFB) ahndete am Freitag das unsportliche Verhalten des Trainers von Andreas Ivanschitz und Julian Baumgartlinger, der das Urteil akzeptiert hat.
Der 39-Jährige war in der 66. Minute der Partie aufs Spielfeld gelaufen, hatte den Schalker Jermaine Jones am Arm gepackt und sich ein Wortgefecht mit dem US-Nationalspieler geliefert. Schiedsrichter Marco Fritz hatte Tuchel daraufhin auf die Tribüne verbannt. Mainz gewann die Partie mit 2:1.
