Colegiul National "Mihail Sadoveanu", Romania
Gimnazija, Mrkonjić-Grad, Bosnia & Herzegovina
Gymnázium Petra Pázmáňa s VJM - Pázmány Péter Gimnázium, Slovakia
This project worked with a medium that is close to the heart of young people, but unfortunately rarely part of the curriculum. It compared this medium past and present in an entertaining way, and the output will make a very useful educational resource that can be used by teachers wishing to experiment in the same area. And this is the direction we should all be heading in, letting students lead us into new dimensions of learning.

Jusms, ME
Mileniumi i Trete, Kosovo
Vay Ádám Gimnázium Szakközépiskola Szakiskola és Kollégium, Hungary
This project was notable, amongst other things, because of the great enthusiasm of the participants. The presentation was impressive and testified to the high level of cooperation between the 3 countries that took part. The pinboard attracted a lot of attention too! The project investigated prejudices and stereotypes… and gave us a great rendition of a politician. The 3 schools were able to overcome challenges through last minute changes and have every intention of continuing their cooperation.

Škola za oštećene sluhom - nagluve "Stefan Dečanski", Serbia
Scoala speciala „Constantin Paunescu“, Romania
This project brings one more language to ACES land… and a good way to say two things at once! It involves parents, who are very important partners in education. It also introduced the 15-17 year-old participants to lobbying and fund raising, at the same time raising sensitivity of the community – in a way the students were teaching the community! An online multilingual blog is being maintained by the partners as a tool for communication and the sharing and exchange of ideas.

Civil courage
Media and reality – allies or opponents
ASUC “Boro Petrushevski”, Macedonia
Polytechnical school, Serbia
Srednja poklicna in strokovna šola Bežigrad-Ljubljana, Slovenia
The winning project in the category Civil Courage builds media literacy by leading the participants to better understand and accept the differences in others. At the same time it highlights the fact that the media can be a dangerous, manipulative weapon. It brings together students, teachers but also local communities in 3 countries that have not always lived in harmony. The participating schools in these countries are signing an agreement to continue cooperation, which underlines the sustainability of the project.

Osnovna šola Vransko-Tabor, Slovenia
Základná škola Hrnčiarska, Slovakia
This project certainly got the jury laughing with its quirky humour and outstanding creativity. It deals with serious topics in a catchy, lighthearted way and makes learning and teaching a pleasure. This is media literacy at its best! And it offers innovative, almost professional quality resources for learners of all ages. Especially noteworthy is the great diversity shown in using the same medium to get across vastly different messages.
