Harry & Markle: Pony-Tätscheln in Schottland

Meghan Markle trotzte bei Edinburgh-Besuch gut eingepackt den eisigen Temperaturen.

Bei eisigen Temperaturen haben Prinz Harry und seine Verlobte Meghan Markle erstmals offiziell Schottland besucht. Zahlreiche Schaulustige versammelten sich am Dienstag vor dem Schloss von Edinburgh.

Erster Schottland-Besuch für Markle

Das Paar sprach vor allem mit Kindern, die stundenlang gewartet hatten. Shetlandpony "Cruchan IV", das Maskottchen des Royalen Regiments von Schottland, bekam Streicheleinheiten.

Die Schottland-Reise ist Teil der Vorbereitungen für die Hochzeit am 19. Mai in Windsor. Die US-Schauspielerin soll so die verschiedenen Teile des Vereinigten Königreiches kennenlernen. Zuvor waren Harry (33) und Markle (36) im Londoner Stadtteil Brixton, im walisischen Cardiff und im englischen Nottingham gemeinsam aufgetreten.

Markle war gut eingepackt gegen die Kälte: Sie trug einen Mantel mit Karomuster, angelehnt an den typisch schottischen Tartan. Auf dem Programm stand auch der Besuch eines Sozialcafes für Obdachlose und eine Feier zum schottischen "Jahr der Jugend 2018".
