Nach ihrer Tour durch Polen und Deutschland (

) sind William und Kate nun nach Belgien gejettet, wo das royale Paar an einer Gedenkfeier für die Opfer des Ersten Weltkrieges beim Battle of Passchendaele teilnahm.
Kate recycelt Taufkleid
William hielt am Menenpoort in Ypern, einem Ehrenmal für britische Soldaten, die in den Schlachten des Ersten Weltkriegs ums Leben kamen, eine Rede.
Für den Anlass hatte sich die Herzogin in ein besonderes Outfit gehüllt und einmal mehr bewiesen, dass sie in Sachen Mode eine wahre Recycling-Queen ist: Sie präsentierte sich bei ihrem Auftritt in Belgien in einem weißen Ensemble von Alexander McQueen, das sie bereits bei der Taufe von Prinzessin Charlotte im Jahr 2015 und im vergangenen Jahr zur Ehrenparade zum Geburtstag der Queen getragen hatte. Zu dem knielangen Mantelkleid kombinierte Kate einen weißen Hut und graue Pumps.

Gedenkfeier zu Ehren gefallener Soldaten
Anschließend nahmen die britischen Royals an der "Last Post" – einer Zeremonie, die seit 1928 zu Ehren der gefallenen Soldaten stattfindet – teil. Begleitet wurden William und Kate bei ihren Terminen vom belgischen Königspaar Philippe und Mathilde und Premierministerin Theresa May.
