Es kommt schon mal vor, dass in Zusammenhang mit Lionel Messi von einem "goldenen Fuß" gesprochen wird. Ein japanischer Juwelier hat den linken Fuß des Argentiniers jetzt tatsächlich in purem Gold nachgebildet.

In Anwesenheit von Messis Bruder Rodrigo enthüllte der Japaner Ginza Tanaka sein Kunstwerk am Mittwoch auf einer Pressekonferenz in Tokio. "Es ist außergewöhnlich. Man kann jede Linie an dem Fuß erkennen", sagte Rodrigo. Der nachgebildete Fuß des argentinischen Weltfußballers vom FC Barcelona soll ungefähr 5,25 Millionen Dollar (rund 4 Millionen Euro) Wert sein.

Das Kunstwerk soll am Donnerstag verkauft werden. Ein Teil der Erlöse soll über die Messi-Stiftung Kindern zugutekommen, die von den Folgen des schwerwiegenden Erdbebens in Japan vor zwei Jahren betroffen sind.
