Die Briten wählen am 8. Juni. Der Star-Regisseur hat einen Fernseh-Clip mit Parteichef Jeremy Corbyn gedreht.
Der preisgekrönte Filmemacher Ken Loach (80) hat sich mit einem Fernseh-Clip für die Labour Party in den britischen Wahlkampf eingeschaltet. Darin spricht der Sozialdemokrat Jeremy Corbyn, der am 8. Juni gegen die konservative Premierministerin Theresa May antritt, über Themen wie Chancengleichheit, das Gesundheitssystem und Wohnungsbau.
"Ich liebe dieses Land", sagt der Parteichef in dem am Montagabend veröffentlichten Video. Er liebe dessen Geschichte, Schönheit und Vielfalt. Aber den Leuten sei nicht wohl zumute. Es gebe Ungleichheit, Ungerechtigkeit und Wut.

Der Corbyn-Unterstützer Loach ist als Regisseur für sozialkritische Dramen bekannt. Mit"I, Daniel Blake"gewann er 2016 die Goldene Palme in Cannes.
Im Wahlkampf liegt die Labour Party Umfragen zufolge derzeit weit abgeschlagen hinter den Konservativen.
