25 Runden auf einer 400m-Laufbahn - ein Vergnügen? Am liebsten wäre ich weg von der Laufbahn gelaufen und hätte mich irgendwo versteckt.

Ziel am Anfang der Saison war es für meinen Trainingspartner Michi Schmid und mich eine Zeit von 29:10 zu laufen. Dank einer durchwachsenen Hallensaison, etlichen Trainingsausfällen wegen Verkühlungen und kleinerer Wehwehchen befinde ich mich aber leider nicht auf dem dafür erforderlichen Niveau.
Das Rennen war von Beginn an konstant flott - zu flott für mich. Bereits nach 3km musste ich das Spitzenduo Martin Pröll und Michi ziehen lassen. Noch 17… oh Gott, das wird lang!
Bei 5km hatte ich mit ca. 14:50 bereits 10 Sekunden Rückstand und tausende "kleine Männchen mit Hämmerchen in meinen Muskeln" machten mir das Laufen zur Hölle. Noch 12...
Ich hörte auf zum Rundenzählen. Am liebsten wäre ich weg von der Laufbahn gelaufen und hätte mich irgendwo versteckt, aber da musste ich durch. Mist. Ich wurde immer langsamer und quälte mich mit großen Schmerzen noch irgendwie ins Ziel.
… zumindest dieses Mal nicht.
Die Zeit ist nichts Berauschendes - der dritte Rang ebenso wenig erfreulich. Und das alles bei meinem Heimverein SU IGLA longlife - es ist zum Schreien!
Es gewann Michi Schmid in 29:27 vor Martin Pröll (29:42) und mir in mäßigen 30:36. Ich bin vollkommen k.o., enttäuscht und eigentlich stinksauer auf mich und meinen verletzungsanfälligen Körper!
Ich hoffe, in den nächsten Wochen hart trainieren und v.a. verletzungsfrei bleiben zu können.
Ein kenianisches Sprichwort sagt: "Wer hart trainiert, wird nicht nur härter - er wird auch härter zu besiegen sein!"
In dem Sinne: Vollgas!
